Up next is the last job we did of last year 2020 plus the first one of this year 2021 its a victorian floor hallway this floor was the original floor from around 1890 - 1900 when removing the floor we found a very old coin along with an old news paper. The floor was just dead, once we removed the tiles the original cement and sand screed just crumbled away as you can see by the pictures. We put back down a new floor and tiled hallway. We had to do this job in stages 1st stage, once everything was removed we had to soak the floor in primer grip once that dried we had to put self level down in stages to ensure full coverage and depth in places needed was achieved. We then left the floor to fully dry and cure out over the Christmas break this helped by giving the floor breathing space and allowing any kind of cracks to show or movement with people walking on it over the Christmas break. When we started back in the new year I could see there was a some cracks and air lines so we put down kerakoll fracture matting (amazing fracture matt to work with) The customer chose a beautiful fire earth tile around 22mil thick so they had to be sealed before being laid and again once laid, then a final seal once grouted. In the end it turned out great the hallway and outside porch looked amazing and now will be down hopefully for another 100 years or so. We would like to say as a company we can't stress this enough just how important the process of Tiling is, so when we price for projects not only are we pricing for labour and materials you are paying for knowledge and experience. We do everything to British standard laws. When these prices seem higher than joe blogs down the road thats simply because you are paying for our knowledge and experience in our trade. We did two full big bathrooms that was also wet rooms, a lot of work went in to these bathrooms they was pre preped before we made a start but unfortunately was not prepped right so we at to do that as well the upstairs bathroom. With the white porcelain we did something different and unique around the tray instead of the normal traditional envelope effect we wanted to make a statement and stand out and we did just that as you will agree both these bathrooms look stunning but that white tray looks amazing. We was very happy with out this one turned out and Richard and Helen was a joy to work for.
On this project we did bathroom floor upstairs and then downstairs we Continued on from the original module floor that was put down many years ago and both floors looking stunning the customers was a joy to work for and this job was a pleasure to do.
A quality wood flooring installation in Derby for a lovely lady that had just brought this new house and managed to get hold of the exact floor tile they had in the kitchen and downstairs toilet. We did all the hallway and made it follow through and also did a bigger footwell for her. The tiles was porcelain planks they were very tough to cut. But the floor itself turned out beautifully. Such a beautiful tile as well. I do love doing plank floor tiling they always look quality when done and so hard-wearing. We specialise in flooring including laminate, wood, oak and parquet flooring, make sure you give us a call for a free quote for your next project in Derby
Kitchen Wall Tiling in Kirby in Ashfield - I try and not do to many mosaic kitchen wall tiling or mosaics tiling in general as they are very time consuming, but also after being on the job for so many days and constantly looking at the style tiles I end up suffering with migraines.
I am really happy with how this one turned out and the customers again were a joy to work for and they loved the work so all good! This victorian floor in Nottinghamshire was an absolute challenge and a half, the customer wanted the middle pattern diamond style but not the normal traditional diamond way we tilers would normally do it as she wanted the black board to run down the skirting boards now that would be easy if everything was square but from the top of their kitchen doors to the bottom of the front door the hallway room was over 3 inches out, so again a very challenging floor especially with this style victorian floor, safe to say we got there in the end and the customer was very happy and they were a joy to work for and very understanding and appreciative of the work involved. This is an outside stone floor project that we did, they are returning building customers from South Nottingham, we tiled the new conservatory floor for them back in October time of 2019, lovely outdoor project this was we love doing stone floor jobs. The adhesives we used outside were kerakoll revolution, amazing adhesives especially for outside projects, all the stone tiles were also back butted as well as the floor being spread. Unfortunately we never got to grout this one up as there was no dry days for us due to the weather and being busy in the summer time so the timing was never right and then we went into a second lockdown, but before the grouting staged the stone floors looked amazing.
