This is an outside stone floor project that we did, they are returning building customers from South Nottingham, we tiled the new conservatory floor for them back in October time of 2019, lovely outdoor project this was we love doing stone floor jobs. The adhesives we used outside were kerakoll revolution, amazing adhesives especially for outside projects, all the stone tiles were also back butted as well as the floor being spread. Unfortunately we never got to grout this one up as there was no dry days for us due to the weather and being busy in the summer time so the timing was never right and then we went into a second lockdown, but before the grouting staged the stone floors looked amazing. This job was for Shaun and his wife a lovely couple and a returning customer from the previous summer when we tiled his new bathroom/wetroom, Shaun wanted the same tile as previously so it all flows through from the sun room in to the kitchen and hallway. Shaun's floors were really in bad in his kitchen area with lots of dips and twists in the floor, but we worked our magic and the floors came out beautifully in the end. Kitchen Hallway The hallway was originally all wood floors so we tile backer boarded the floors and primed beforehand with s2 adhesives to stick boards and screwed down too, we had a lot of fun under the stairs as the original floor dropped away like a nose dive by a good inch or so, but again we worked our magic and the floors came out beautifully and very happy customers in the end. Alex loved the tiles so much that they wanted the same ones going back down so all the tiles came up and we primed the floors first with a sbr primer then primer gripped the floors then we self leveled it all through and then used a ditra fracture matting with a s2 adhesive. Unfortunately we could not lay the tiles until May due to the national lockdown, but we finished the job as soon as we able too. This is a recent job we did for my old boss from my time in London, we tiled his bathroom walls and floors, this job was carried out in Grantham, we don't usually do the floors first but we did in this case due to the bath being fitted on the first weekend we were there.
The floor was all wood so we tile backer boarded it out before tiling. We primed the floors first Then used a s2 floor adhesives to lay the boards along with screwing them down as well, once the preparation staged was done we tiled the floor with some 60x60 Speckled quartz beautiful tiles, very brittle to cut though and we had to use wet tile cutter to cut them. When the floor was done we moved on to the walls, tiling them with 600x300 white porcelain tile and then above the bath where the shower is we did a feature wall of pear drops tiles (from Topps Tiles) all finished off with kerakoll fugabella white grout. Happy New year to everyone, starting in Jan 20 next up is a nice little kitchen tiling project for Robinson pubs. This one is the Bulls Head in Ashford near Bakewell.
We did grey metros with light grey grout and white trims. Lovely little kitchen! For our last project before the xmas break we have Nicola and Simon from Derby, we couldn't of asked for more amazing customers just before the xmas break.
We tiled the whole downstairs using a modular pattern, it looks complicated on the images but it wasn't to complicated for the Youngs team, I absolutely loved installing this floor. And the finish product looks amazing. We also installed kitchen wall tiling and again the finish looks great. |
